ADAPTIVE USE
Gresham & Beach Architects has developed a strong portfolio of historic preservation, building renewal and adaptive use projects in Arizona. Our integration of contemporary programs and systems into historic buildings has been remarkably successful, as well as very satisfying for their users. Successful modernization requires attention to detail and careful coordination. Our team is dedicated to finding sensitive solutions to systems integration, accessibility challenges and functional appropriateness. These are challenges we see as opportunities to “look forward,” yet respect our past.
We have been qualified under the Main Street Program, administered by the Arizona Department of Commerce, to provide technical assistance to our State's communities seeking to revitalize their central business districts. We have often worked with the State's Historic Preservation Office through our extensive experience in preserving historic structures and in renovating them for modern use. We understand state design guidelines and requirements for historic renovation projects.
